About NAREB

NAREB is the larges and the oldest minority, professional trade association in the United States, founded in 1947.  NAREB members are called "REALTIST" because when the organization was established, Blacks were unable to join the national and local "REALTORS" associations.  While the NAREB name suggests that it is an organization of "real estate brokers", its members are form multiple disciplines in the real estate industry, and we welcome professionals in all areas of real estate to join and help promote our mission of  Democracy in Housing.

NAREB was established to ensure equal opportunity for Black real estate practitioners and Black consumers and to promote fair housing for all.
